Hluhluwe River Lodge is an easy 10-minute drive from Hluhluwe Country Cottages. Hluhluwe River Lodge is a fully catered lodge, the restaurant includes an air-conditioned indoor dining room as well as our popular ‘al fresco’ outdoor dining area on a terrace with views of False Bay Lake.

There is a fully stocked bar with a superb wine list and it is highly recommended that diners arrive early to enjoy a cocktail on the terrace and enjoy the superb view. There is a lounge with a library to relax in and a museum to view some of the interesting exhibits from the pioneer days of Hluhluwe.

The lodge prepares a menu dependent on the number of guests but this usually consists of a set starter, a choice of one of the three main course dishes and a set dessert. The emphasis is on a small menu that is lovingly prepared and presented using the best local ingredients available. Tea and Coffees are included in the dinner price and all bar purchases are extra to your account.

Booking is essential and no later than 4.00 PM. We also offer breakfast to outside guests.
